Workspaces

The active workspace controls which models, keys, billing data, and provider assets you can access. Most confusing permission or billing issues start with the wrong workspace selected.

What a workspace owns

• API keys created from the dashboard.
• Model runs and usage records.
• Wallet balance, payment methods, and billing mode.
• Studio models and provider revenue.
• Team membership and role permissions.

Before creating keys or running models

1. Confirm the active workspace in the product app.
2. Check that your role allows the task you are performing.
3. Use separate workspaces for separate teams or environments when usage and billing should be isolated.

Permission symptoms

• 401: you are not authenticated.
• 403: you are authenticated but the active workspace or role cannot perform the action.
• Empty API key or billing pages: your workspace role may not include the required read permission.
